Discover the story of pioneering solo aviator Bert Hinkler at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, housed in a striking building of glass and steel shaped like a soaring aircraft wing within the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens in Queensland. On this self paced tour you can take your time exploring flight and glide simulators, replica aircraft, theatrettes and hands on exhibits that bring Australia's aviation history to life.
Step into Hinkler House, the aviator's original English home that was carefully relocated to Bundaberg, and picture the era that shaped one of the country's boldest flyers. Wander at your own pace and follow the displays that interest you most, with plenty to spark the curiosity of budding pilots and history lovers alike. When you are ready for a break, an adjacent cafe is on hand for a coffee or a bite, and there is on site parking within the gardens. Relaxed, hands on and full of character, this is an easy and rewarding outing for families and aviation fans alike.

- Entry to Hinkler House
- Entrance to the other attractions located within the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.
- Available seven days a week from 9am to 3pm
- Public Holidays from 10am to 3pm
- Not available on ANZAC Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day
- This is a self paced experience with no set duration, so you can explore for as long as you like within opening hours.
- This experience meets at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, located within the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens at 6 Mount Perry, North Bundaberg, Queensland, 4670.
- Bookings are essential
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
