What you can expect
Looking to visit the Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef? This half day cruise departing from Port Douglas is a great way for those short on time to visit the Great Barrier Reef. After a picturesque 30 minute cruise, be transported to the crystal clear waters of the Low Isles for a guided snorkel tour and free time to explore the unique island. You will have two and a half hours to snorkel this calm water reef lagoon and view over 150 varieties of coral and tropical fish that can be found here. This tour is also perfect for non-swimmers who can take in views of the coral reef from a glass bottom boat or dry land. You may also wish to wander the grounds of the island to view the historic lighthouse, weather station and a variety of bird life.
All equipment is supplied for you including Lycra suits, snorkel gear, floatation devices and prescription masks. Simply bring your sense of adventure on the half day cruise to the Low Isles. A complimentary fruit platter, tea and coffee is served as you cruise around this tropical paradise. The morning cruise lasts approximately four hours - departing Port Douglas at 7.30am and returning at 11.30am. - Please note - We'd like to advise that the reef displays some damage from Cyclone Jasper at the Low Isles plus some freshwater bleaching due to the flooding at the same time as Jasper. There is still coral, plenty of marine life to see as well as still being able to relax on the Island

Staff were awesome,captain Michael was professional & informative. Metayes was a great guide & knew his stuff. Loved the length of the trip did what we wanted to do & where home by lunch to enjoy the rest of the day. I’ve been to the outer reef & would prefer to do low isle again
Great cruise- perfect for kids! Not too long, not too short and plenty of turtles!
The crew was excellent and very knowledgeable and made looking after or getting the kids ready a breeze. The early start meant we were the only group around and the tide was coming in, bringing with it plenty of turtles as well. The reef was actually better than I expected from a frequently visited spot. Once the kids tired of snorkelling they could stay at the beach and play so mum and dad could enjoy some snorkelling time together! 5 star all around!
